This company makes problems a lot worse. Instead of helping, they charge you for work they never do.

Their logo, slogans, and commercials are intimidating, but when it comes to them helping sort out divorce and family issues, they make things worse. My driver's license was suspended. I had already retained them and paid them $15,000, and they wanted more money just to help me fix what they should've fixed before asking for more money. When I reached out to the higher-ups, it was even worse.

They laughed at me and belittled me, said that what I'm going through I deserved every piece of it. The worst part about it is I lost my kids, I'm homeless, and because of Cordell and Cordell, I have no money. Now these people are worthless to say the least! They want nothing to do with your case; they don't care about you, your kids, or your family.

All they care about is money. Cordell and Cordell are nothing but liars, scammers, and thieves, and they should not be trusted by anyone.

The worst decision I ever made was to trust a firm that lacked integrity and courtesy. The attorney provided by this firm, Sandra Zegarra, was inexperienced and lacked attention to detail and integrity overall. I never met an attorney who was provided with all of the confirming details that would allow her to build a strong case against opposing counsel, yet she treated my case with prejudice due to her inexperience and lack of confidence. Moreover, Attorney Zegarra failed me multiple times, to include denying me time for visitation because she failed to draft her verbal agreement with opposing counsel among many other mistakes.

Furthermore, the finance department misplaced many of my payments, and they had to review my file and apologize for their oversight. Yet they treated me with no respect and even hung up on me and accused me of failure to provide payments, which was not true. An apology was extended to me from management.

Moreover, a second paralegal that replaced the original person and the only person with ethics took it upon herself to provide guidance and her opinion as if she was the attorney. She went as far as telling me that if I did not like them, to go ahead and drop them. This is the way this firm allows their employees to serve their clients.

This firm lacks integrity, and most importantly, they lack experienced attorneys with the desire to fight for the rights of clients as they advertise. Do yourself a favor and review the Virginia Bar. Make sure you see the years of experience and possible complaints before hiring Sandra Zegarra from Cordell and Cordell. I will not recommend this firm. They were only after money and she never demonstrated the ethics and sworn duties of her legal representation.

Lawyer that was assigned my case was not aggressive and my new Attorney has to undo everything she screwed up and little by little we are.
She was incompetent:
Submitted a document to the Court with the someone elses name on it Cut and paste a document that had to be resubmitted- Embarrassing for one
She responded to a text and linked in the opposition Counsel which was private and privileged information
Did not accomplish anything I asked her to do, ex Child Support Modification and several other things
Agreed to things that were unnecessary and inappropriate with opposition Counsel because she did not wan to do the work
Over billing and constant harassment for payments on Nate as of keeping me posted and developing a plan of action
This Company is a sham - I asked to speak to someone to complain and all they do is hit your Credit Card weekly if you are on that plan- Absolutely do not care about you or your case.
I had to go to Law School to win my case and hire an Attorney to fix all the wrongs that were done - My 1st, 5th, 9th, and 14th Amendments were grossly Violated and evident at the beginning- Which I brought to her attention immediately after Hiring this disorganized Company
Do not hire this Company very incompetent - I had to file with the Texas Bar

Far too much to put here, but I hired this firm to try to enforce visitation with my minor son who is now 17. Upon the advice of my attorney, we filed a contempt motion against my ex.

She filed a counter. The attorney I was working with left the firm and the new attorney that was assigned to me told me that we didn't have time to enforce anything before my son's 18th birthday, so we needed to wait quietly for a year and hope my ex didn't enforce anything!!! So I spent thousands of dollars to now be left with a pending hearing against my ex-wife, and hope she doesn't enforce the issue further, and that this all goes away!!! Customer service blamed it all on me but offered a measly $200 for me to stay and be okay with this!

I've had to hire another law firm with no hope of seeing my child to get out of the mess Cordell and Cordell threw me into. The outside customer service person is Kathy Coppedge. She told me that I couldnt speak to anyone else and so Im her. I will have spent thousands to try and get back to where I was the day I hired them.

I wish I could leave less than one star! The customer service was even worse than the legal advice.

In early spring of 2024 I decided to divorce my wife. So, I googled lawyers in North Carolina and found this firm that mainly represented men which I liked.

The reviews we good at least the ones I saw.

At the very beginning I paid for two consultations which were months apart so I kind of understood. My wife is the main income earner I am 73 years old and retired the only income I have is my Social Security. My wife earns over four hundred thousand and she handled all the investments and retirement funds. First mistake is I trusted my wife big mistake.

Anyway I contacted C & C Charlette which sent me to thier Greensboro office.

From the very beginning I explained that I really had no money, but the wife and I had joint accounts. In NC you must live apart for 12 months before anything can be done and I explained to my attorney my financial situation and I could not afford to move out of the house without support. The attorney knew this from the start and should have advised me to first try and work something out with my wife, but at that time we were not speaking to each other. The attorney should have not continued representing me knowing there really was nothing she could do for me until we separated, but she did not.

After months of emails and updates (which were useless) thousands of dollars later I realized I was paying this lawyer and getting nothing but lip service. So we ended our relationship and I requested a full refund. Well see.

No friendly customer service and very hard to speak to anyone.

Guys, if you are in the same position as me do not hire any attorney in NC due to the laws here.

Also, do not trust anyone and do your reach. Like any business their in business to make money so beware.
