The worst decision I ever made was to trust a firm that lacked integrity and courtesy. The attorney provided by this firm, Sandra Zegarra, was inexperienced and lacked attention to detail and integrity overall. I never met an attorney who was provided with all of the confirming details that would allow her to build a strong case against opposing counsel, yet she treated my case with prejudice due to her inexperience and lack of confidence. Moreover, Attorney Zegarra failed me multiple times, to include denying me time for visitation because she failed to draft her verbal agreement with opposing counsel among many other mistakes.

Furthermore, the finance department misplaced many of my payments, and they had to review my file and apologize for their oversight. Yet they treated me with no respect and even hung up on me and accused me of failure to provide payments, which was not true. An apology was extended to me from management.

Moreover, a second paralegal that replaced the original person and the only person with ethics took it upon herself to provide guidance and her opinion as if she was the attorney. She went as far as telling me that if I did not like them, to go ahead and drop them. This is the way this firm allows their employees to serve their clients.

This firm lacks integrity, and most importantly, they lack experienced attorneys with the desire to fight for the rights of clients as they advertise. Do yourself a favor and review the Virginia Bar. Make sure you see the years of experience and possible complaints before hiring Sandra Zegarra from Cordell and Cordell. I will not recommend this firm. They were only after money and she never demonstrated the ethics and sworn duties of her legal representation.

In early spring of 2024 I decided to divorce my wife. So, I googled lawyers in North Carolina and found this firm that mainly represented men which I liked.

The reviews we good at least the ones I saw.

At the very beginning I paid for two consultations which were months apart so I kind of understood. My wife is the main income earner I am 73 years old and retired the only income I have is my Social Security. My wife earns over four hundred thousand and she handled all the investments and retirement funds. First mistake is I trusted my wife big mistake.

Anyway I contacted C & C Charlette which sent me to thier Greensboro office.

From the very beginning I explained that I really had no money, but the wife and I had joint accounts. In NC you must live apart for 12 months before anything can be done and I explained to my attorney my financial situation and I could not afford to move out of the house without support. The attorney knew this from the start and should have advised me to first try and work something out with my wife, but at that time we were not speaking to each other. The attorney should have not continued representing me knowing there really was nothing she could do for me until we separated, but she did not.

After months of emails and updates (which were useless) thousands of dollars later I realized I was paying this lawyer and getting nothing but lip service. So we ended our relationship and I requested a full refund. Well see.

No friendly customer service and very hard to speak to anyone.

Guys, if you are in the same position as me do not hire any attorney in NC due to the laws here.

Also, do not trust anyone and do your reach. Like any business their in business to make money so beware.

Young inexperienced attorneys who have a full plate of cases. They over bill, try to add more attorneys to the case including weekly strategy meetings with the franchise head.

I was NEVER involved in one of them16 months worth. They asked the same questions over and over again and charged me for the same responses$64 to read my email responses. They promised things that were never going to happen. I only figured that out after my first court hearing.

The judge didnt care about anything we put together. I spent every extra minute of my life providing documents to my attorney and none of it was used. They somehow got 6 lawyers and their assistants on my case and they all billed me. I even got billed for training a new legal assistant!!!

My office was Orlando.

Cynthia Glover and Marc Cohen (Mgr) were useless in my case. I was told Cynthia had a busy plate so they gave me the Regional Mgr in GA, Alexandra Gordon to take the lead. That meant more strategy meetings to make sure Cynthia was making her money. Once the trial came, magically Cynthia was my lead again and was going to trial in my behalf.

She was clueless!!!

This should have been an open and shut case based on the Law.

Nothing close to that happened. Over $80k spent and I lost out on an additional $200k which is legally mine

RUN AWAY FAST!!!

They took over a year to draft a few documents in a family case. During that time, I was switched between attorneys three times.

They charged for every email sent and received, even if it was just one line. Asking for a status would cost you. Even though they will bill you for untold amounts of money at their discretion. And when questioning why it's taking so long, they insist they are always waiting for you, but you could wait months for something that they eventually complete in just a few days.

Then, they hit you with a bill due in three days.

They don't genuinely care about you or your case. The ONLY thing they are consistent with is billing you.

This company did nothing but make matter worse! I lost so many of my rights, and am now facing collections because they continued to bill after asking them to stop!They did not listen to any of my DESPERATE requests.

PISSED CONSUMER, And the BETTER BUSINESS BEARU are some sites I encourage all with misleading promises to leave as many reviews as possible. I also encourage you to write to your state officials, and get your story out. I also wrote into their many office locations. I feel that so many people rely on their services only to be worse off in many ways including pain and suffering.

This company needs to reimburse me because they di nothing to help!!! After asking for an office to make payments they tried sending me to MARYLAND!

when asking for NEW MEXICO location she told me she could not provide that information for me because it was not listed in my file. So many inconsistencies, and now they want to charge me for things that were never done, this is not right
